Damnoen Saduak Floating Market
Get ready to float and eat at the Damnoen Saduak Floating Market If you do not know how to bargain then Damnoen Saduak Floating Market can end up being a bit of expensive. It is bargaining for tickets, bargaining for food prices and everything, BUT a must see. It’s a true tourist highlight in central Thailand. The markets are only a morning thing, so arrive very early as they close round about 11am. The busiest time is from 7am till 9am. All the boats that paddles along the canals (khlongs), are packed with food, ice cream, cold drinks and anything you can think of. Small wooden boats (sampans) are stacked…
Magnificent Grand Palace Bangkok, Thailand
Grand Palace Bangkok full of surprises Do not leave Thailand if you have not seen the Grand Palace Bangkok. It is just over whelming and most covered gold, the architecture is phenominal. The mistake I made was visiting this attraction last, not a very good idea. The queue is just to long late in the afternoon. We stood in the queue for at least an hour so I would recommend arriving first thing in the morning. Please make sure you wear appropriate clothing and ladies make sure your arms and legs are covered. What to Expect! Going through the metal detectors and…
Big Buddha Chalong, overlooking Phuket Thailand
Overwhelming Big Buddha Chalong So, while driving around on Phuket Island, Thailand, just absorbing all that there is to see and taking in, I looked up and this is what I saw. This 45 m tall Big Buddha Chalong sits on the Nakkerd Hills and high overlooking down on the southern part of the island. This statue blows my breath away. I had to drive the 6km road carefully up the hill to go and have a look. On the way uphill you will find some restaurants with beautiful views. When reaching the top you will enter a huge parking area. There is a couple of tuk shops that sells…
AYUTTHAYA Thailand
A WONDERFUL, MAGNIFICENT SITE TO VISIT. I know a lot of people goes to Thailand with the idea of swimming in the ocean, going on boat trips and exploring all the magnificent islands. Ayutthaya is a must if you are passing or if you intent to stay a couple of days in Bangkok. There is no beaches near this beautiful ancient site, but if its hot drink water and plenty of water. How to get to Ayutthaya? We took a day tour from Bangkok to Ayutthaya and it was fantastic, but short. I would really recommend taking public transport from Bangkok and spend as much time here, the whole day…
