England

London has a beat

Once in London, always in London

The first time you visit London, everything goes by so fast. You get to learn the public transport, everything is new and a lot of people everywhere. It is a mad city, everywhere you walk you can feel the beat, people, music, entertainment, cinema, opera and the list goes on.  Apart from it’s diversity in nationalities, food, music and life you can still feel and see the old city.

There are many tourist attractions to visit and one week, one month or even one year are not enough. The top attractions  to visit:  Big Ben, Tower of London, River Thames, Hyde Park, Tower Bridge, Buckingham Palace, British Museum, Palace of Westminster, St Paul’s Cathedral, Trafalgar Square and of course my favourite the National Gallery.  I can still write 10 pages full of attractions, but like I said not even a year is enough.

I am not going to pick out certain routes to walk or what to visit first.  My opinion is that you have to visit this city more than once.  You either like, love or hate it and I LOVE it.  Go on the underground tube and sit in a cubical filled with more than 6 different nationalities.  Walk around Covent Garden and enjoy some street food (different from Thailand’s).  Cross Westminster Bridge towards the London Eye and go up in the air. Feeding the doves at Trafalgar Square and enjoy watching the children running around chasing them.

Walking around Soho you can go to Chinatown and when visiting an Indian restaurant do not forget the Tikka Masala Chicken, I also find Indian restaurants here are very good.  Go to Notting Hill and look up that famous Blue Door.

Buy an umbrella when visiting, wear your scarf and walk to the beat.

I am a mother of two, wife to an amazing husband, travel freak, homemade cook. In my free time, I always decorate something, read books, or do gardening. My favorite coffee spot is any coffee spot as long as it is at an airport. I just love airports.
