Shipping Policy

At Eating Tourist, we take care to ensure your products are delivered in the best possible condition.  Below are the details of our shipping policy.

Processing Time

All orders are processed within 3-5 business days (Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays) via the courier services.  During busy periods (launches, markets, holidays),  processing times may be slightly longer.  We promise we’re packing as fast as humanly possible.

 Shipping within South Africa

We currently ship nationwide within South Africa.

We ship Wednesdays and Thursdays only.  Orders placed before 13:00 on a Monday will be shipped out the same week (Wednesday or Thursday).  Orders placed after 13:00 on a Monday will be shipped out the following week (Wednesday or Thursday).

Shipping on these specific days also gives us enough time to roll, prep, bake, and package every order with care.  Delivery times may vary depending on the courier and your location.

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout.

International Shipping

We do not ship internationally at this stage yet.

Order tracking

If you have an order on its way and want to see where it is, no problem!

We do not control the delivery schedule of our courier services.

Once your order has been collected from our shop, you will receive a tracking number via email.  This means that if there is no tracking information, our order has not yet been dispatched or shipped.  Don’t worry!  We promise your order is in line, and you will receive an email as soon as the courier company has collected it.

Please allow up to 24 hours for tracking information to update, and delivery will take place between 3-5 working days.

Incorrect Address

Customers are responsible for providing the correct delivery address.  We are not liable for any delays in package delivery resulting from incorrect information provided by the customer at the time of the order.

If an incorrect address is provided and the parcel is returned to us, additional shipping fees will apply for redelivery.  If your package cannot be delivered due to incorrect address information or your unavailability, and it is returned to us, you will be responsible for paying the courier’s fees again, plus an additional R100 admin fee, or it may be lost. Please make arrangements to ensure someone is available to accept the delivery.

Damaged or Lost Parcels

If your parcel arrives damaged, please email us within 48 hours of delivery with your order number and clear photos of the damaged items and packaging.

We are not responsible for any damage that occurs to your package once it is in the courier’s possession.  We encourage you to inspect your package upon delivery and report any damage directly to the courier.

We will investigate with the courier and assist accordingly.

Eating Tourist (Pty) LTD is not responsible for delays caused by couriers, weather, strikes, or other circumstances beyond our control – but we will always try to help.

Food Products

Due to health and safety regulations, food products cannot be returned unless damaged upon arrival.  Please store products as instructed on the label.
