Crispy Crumbed Chicken Wings

Wing fans, this is for you
Chicken wings consist of bones and white meat, this is my favourite part of the chicken. They contain more fat and flavour, but have a chewier texture than any other part of the chicken.
There are only a few bites per wing, so you need about four pieces per person. There are many sauces that you can serve it with, one being our famous Eating Tourist Braai Sauce, a delicious mayonnaise, or blue cheese sauce, but my all-time favourite with this is a creamy Gorgonzola-like sauce.
My family isn’t big on chicken wings, so sometimes I swap the wings for drumsticks, and that’s also very good. It only takes a bit longer, approximately 15 minutes. You ready to get started? Let’s go!
Ingredients
- 16 Chicken Wings 1 cup Buttermilk
- 1 cup All Purpose Flour 1/2 cup Breadcrumbs
- 1 tspn Paprika 1 tspn Chicken Spice
- 1 tspn Garlic, Crushed 1 Onion, Grated
- Salt & Pepper to Taste Vegetable Oil for Frying
Instructions
Mix the buttermilk, garlic, & onion, then cover the chicken & marinade for at least 4-8 hours.

Mix flour, breadcrumbs, salt, pepper, paprika & chicken spice. Take the chicken out of the buttermilk & then place it in the flour mixture. Make sure the chicken is coated well (double coat if necessary).
Heat the oil & make sure it’s hot enough to fry, dunk the chicken piece at a time in the oil & cook for at least 6 minutes per piece. Place the pieces on a kitchen towel to drain any excess oil.
Afterwards, when all your “hard work” has paid off hehe, you can sit back, and enjoy! You’ll never want it any other way, you’re welcome.
Till next time, my fellow foodlover, ciao!
