Hoi An, Vietnam

Hoi An is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Standing out for me was the covered “Japanese Bridge” that dates back to the 16th and 17the century. Firstly, this town is one of the most beautiful towns and the streets are so charming. Secondly, the vibrant atmosphere helps in preserving this magical old town. Some people might name it the “Venice” of Vietnam with all the canals from the Thu Ban River.

I do agree that Hoi An is very touristy, there is an abundance of Hotels, restaurants, tour operators, and souvenir shops. Every shop is beautiful and perfectly displayed. Shopping in Hoi An is a must and the experience for all the shopaholics out there.

The center is very small, as a result of that do not expect taxi rides, but rather walk and explore on foot, so much more to see.

We stayed for 3 nights and I must admit if I could extend it to 5 nights I would have been more satisfied. Reason being that there are so many things to do besides all the places to see.
